Radiofrequenza Ablativa Viso

Facial radiofrequency treatments are increasingly in demand. Thanks to these medical-aesthetic procedures, a face-lifting effect can be achieved without undergoing an invasive course.

A treatment for all ages

According to recent research conducted in the United States, the phenomenon of aesthetic medicine is growing rapidly, especially among young people.

Of all the treatments available in this field, radiofrequency is among the favorites. Among the main reasons are the fact thatit is suitable for all ages with different purposes.

For example, a 25-year-old patient might be interested in removing acne scars, while a 35-year-old might want to firm facial skin in areas such as the chin or around the eyes, without having to undergo filler or botox.

What is facial radiofrequency

The term “radiofrequency” refers to all cosmetic treatments that use the properties of radiofrequency (RF for short) to improve skin aesthetics.

RF procedures are applied to different parts of the body: face, neck, arms, legs, and abdomen.

In the case of the face, the goals of this treatment may concern:

  • Anti-aging effect and rejuvenation of the look
  • Treatment of scars due to acne
  • Skin tightening and skin laxity
  • Reduction of skin wrinkles such as “crow’s feet” around the eyes or nasal grooves.

Treatments that take advantage of RF in aesthetics are then divided into two classes, ablative and nonablative, depending on whether they act deep in the skin or only on the surface.

How the procedure works

On the day of treatment, one goes to the outpatient clinic where everything will be performed.

First, the room is prepared and the patient is made to lie down in a chair.

Initial preparation of the skin that will be treated is done. Next, the doctor uses an instrument that releases electromagnetic waves onto the skin.

The release of electromagnetic waves on the face stimulates collagen production.

General features

Safety and pain

The electromagnetic stimulation procedure using RF is completely safe and painless for the patient. In case you are particularly sensitive, a topical anesthetic can be applied before treatment.

Results

The first results of RF treatment can be noticed immediately. However, it may take 24-48 for the effects to be well observed as this is the time required for the skin to rebalance itself.

Of course, to achieve much better results it is advisable to follow a cycle of a few sessions..

It is required to wait 3 to 4 weeks between each session.

Side effects

No particular side effects are evidenced other than the appearance of small redness in the areas that have been treated.

Generally, the redness disappears automatically within 1 day.
